We're Baaack!!

That's right, we are back! Our mommy is soo very sorry for letting our adventures slip by but she said she had been super busy during the month of May and then she took a "mommy and daddy" mini vacation to Las Vegas (she says she needed a break...whatever that means). She said she missed us TONS (that will teach her to not take us along!). We were pretty busy too so let us catch you guys up.

Last time you saw me I had just turned six months. Since then I have learned to sit up all by myself. It was my Mother's Day gift to mommy. She was happy and a little sad too because I am growing up too fast. But still, it was the best gift she got that day. Don't I look like a big boy sitting up for the first time. I was still a little wobbly back then but I'm like an ol' pro now!

Then on May 23 I had my Holy Baptism. My great-grandpa Deacon Dubuque baptized me in his church in Corpus Christi (he baptized my sister too when she was a baby). My Auntie Missy and Uncle Raymon became my god-parents. All of my family came from San Antonio to see me get baptized and I loved that they were all there. It was a very special day!

I am now seven months and growing like a weed! I have two teeth now and can FINALLY hold my bottle all by myself. Mommy and Daddy better watch out because I am getting ready to crawl any day now. Actually, Alyssa better watch out because here I come!(straight for those toys ha ha!) Summer is going to be great because I finally get to play with mommy and daddy and will get to do some cool things with sister. Mommy says we are going swimming in the pool all summer and we are even going to the beach! I can't wait!

I had a busy month too! School is finally over. I had a festival on May 3rd that I performed in at my school. It was my last performance at St. Anthony Learning Center because I will be going to Ott Elementary next year. I also started gymnastics at the Little Gym that same weekend. I started late in the semester but I got that hang of it really quick! I couldn't wait to go every week and learn new things.

I learned to walk the balance beam, do "donkey kicks" and "monkey jumps" (these are all technical terms). I did forward rolls and backward rolls down the mats, "spider walks" on the uneven bars and even learned to hang from the bar. All my hard work paid off for "show week" where I showed my mommy and daddy all my cool routines and even got a metal for it! Daddy says its my "first of many" to come. I think he wants to frame it!

I am really looking forward to this summer. I am going to do ballet and tap along with gymnastics at The Little Gym. I can't wait to go swimming and visit the beach again. I hope to go to Sea World and Fiesta Texas and best of all play with Monkey all summer. It's going to be a blast...I just hope Mommy and Daddy can keep up with us!

I'm 6 Months Old!!!

I turned 6 months old today...Yipee!! I went to my check up yesterday and Dr. Davis said I am a very healthy, growing boy. I now weigh 18 pounds and I am 26 inches long. I think sister weighed this much at a year old! My check up went great. Mommy didn't have to make a list of questions this time. Dr. Davis was happy to see all the things I can do like roll onto my tummy and then back and put my toes in my mouth. I can almost sit up by myself (gotta work on those tummy muscles). I had to get two shots but I was brave. I cried but didn't shed a tear. Dr. Davis said "just keep doing what you are doing and see you in 3 months". Wanna take a guess on how much I'll weigh then???

Happy Earth Day!

Mommy said that today was Earth Day. She said that it is the day we remember how important our Earth is to us and we need to do lots of things to take care of it. She said we should take care of our Earth everyday. Mommy said she is so excited because we are now getting recycling service in our neighborhood (finally!). She said I will get to help her sort our plastics, cans and paper. Boy do I love to help! Daddy wasn't too happy about having to put 2 BIG cans out by the curb now. But me and mommy told him he has to do his part too! I do mine by not wasting water when I brush my teeth. In honor of Earth Day, here is a picture of me and my tomato plants. My Nana helped me plant these and she makes sure I water them everyday. Ryan likes to go outside and watch. I can't wait till I can pick my tomatoes to eat! I love being GREEN!!

Mickey, Minnie and the Easter Bunny!

This weekend was such a super fun, long, four day weekend. It started off with having a "Big Sister" day on Friday. Mommy and Daddy took me to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner then to see Disney on Ice at the Alamodome. It was a blast! I saw the characters from the Lion King, Peter Pan, Lilo and Stitch and my favorite, The Little Mermaid. Check out my cool Flounder Hat! My daddy wore it most of the night (can you just picture that??). Mickey, Minnie and the gang were all there too. All the skaters were so awesome! I sat front row and got to wave to all of them. Tinker Bell was so pretty. She even flew with Peter Pan. Thanks Mommy and Daddy! It was sooo much fun!

Then the Easter Bunny came to vist us early. He came on Saturday instead of Sunday because we left for Corpus Christi to spend Easter with our cousins and Mamaw and Papaw (maybe he didn't have Mapquest!). Once we got there we had an awesome fun day. It was our great-grandma Mina's birthday. So it was like two parties in one. We had bar-b-que and LOTS of desserts. Raymon and Maliyah were there and so were Uncle Raymon and Auntie Missy and Uncle David. We had an egg hunt (I think I got the most eggs...shhh), and a pinata. Even Ryan got to hit the pinata...with daddy's help of course. We did sidewalk chalk and then we had a cascarone fight! Some of the eggs were hard on our heads!

We had such a good time in Corpus. We got sooo many Easter gifts from everyone and we loved every single one of them! Thank you so much! I can't wait till next year when Monkey will be able to go hunt for eggs with us. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend...cause we sure did!!

The Easter Bunny is Coming...

It is Easter weekend and we are getting ready for the Easter Bunny! Yesterday he came a little early and visited my school. He hid a bunch of eggs and me and my friends got to go find them all. I had a hard time getting a bunch of eggs because I kept stopping to see what was inside those colorful eggs. It slowed me down a little.

I got to color some easter eggs too (don't I look cute in my daddy's old shirt?). Mommy bought me a Tinker Bell coloring kit. It even came with some Pixie Dust to sprinkle on my eggs. Ryan couldn't help this year. Mommy gave him a plastic egg to play with and I think he was happy with that.
It is going to be a busy weekend. We are going to Corpus Christi to visit my cousins. I hope the Easter Bunny knows how to get there! Tomorrow I am going to see Disney on Ice. I can't wait to go! Tinker Bell and Ariel are going to be there!

Raspberries Galore!

Guess what I learned to do?! I learned to make raspberries! And boy do I love to make them!
I can lie on back and make them all day long. I can even be in my crib all by myself and be very happy just making raspberries. Big sister Alyssa thinks I'm being so silly and Daddy loves to do them right back to me. Mommy thinks it's cute...well I take that back. She doesn't think it is very cute when I do it while I am eating. Especially when I'm eating my yummy carrots...I wonder why?

What's on the Menu?

Yummy, yummy...I've got food in my tummy! And boy do I love my papa! My mommy FINALLY let me have my first taste of real food...I wonder if my new tooth coming in had anything to do with it?? First on the menu was rice cereal. I had a little problem getting use to the taste and had to learn all about a spoon. Mommy kept working with me and I got better at it. Then it was on to the bananas! You would think a little monkey like me would love them but you know what...they had a little funny taste. But I got use to them and now I have them for breakfast (just mixed into my cereal...hee hee). Then I got to have carrots and boy o boy do I LOVE them. I can gobble them up and leave my plate all clean (too bad I can't say the same for my face!). Maybe mommy should start calling me rabbit! Next on the menu...apples...YUM!

I'm a Trailblazer!

Watch out world cause here I come! I am officially in PRE-SCHOOL! (or I will be next year) Mommy and Daddy took me to my new school today, Paul W. Ott Elementary, and boy was it BIG! I knew I was ready to go to the "big girl school". We got to walk around the school and I saw the cafeteria, the gym and even where my classroom will be. But most important I saw the super cool playground! I also got to meet some of the teachers that I will have next year. They seemed really nice. I hope they are ready for me (I've been on the waiting list since I was born!) because August will be here before you know it!

Big News Everybody!!!

My first tooth just came in. Well it broke through and boy did it hurt. I usually don't cry unless I'm hungry, tired or have a dirty diaper. So momma and dadda did their usual check list to see what I wanted, but I still kept crying. Then finally dadda mentioned that maybe I was teething. Then momma took a look inside my mouth and saw a little white thingy coming through my gums. Bingo momma!! I need Tylenol!!!! Now I feel sooo much better. The pain comes and goes but now I'm ok because momma give me medicine and holds me close and says everythings going to be ok. Keep checking back to see a picture of my first tooth soon. Bye Everybody!!!

AWESOME Party Dude!

We went to our cousin Raymon's 8th birthday party over the weekend. It was in Alice, Tx so we had to take a little drive. He had a Rock Star party so I got to dress up like Hannah Montana. Me and my cousin Maliyah dressed alike. It was so much fun! There was a big blow up slide that I climbed all by myself (of course) and I got to sing and dance to my favorite songs...by Hannah Montana of course. It was so much fun to play with my cousins. It was a cold day so Ryan stayed indoors. It was another super fun day and I can't wait for my Hannah Montana Party in July. Happy Birthday Raymon!! Thanks for having us at your party...it was a BLAST!

All Good Things Must Come To An End

A Note From Dadda:
As the week has finally come to an end, life must resume back to its chaotic organized daily routines. Us parents travel back to work and Alyssa back to school. As for Ryan, life has been the same for the past four and half months. This has been a fullfilling week with the entire family. Everything from the Zoo to SeaWorld to lunch in the park to birthday parties, we could not ask for a more perfect Spring Break. Well, except for the moments of extreme horror when poor Ryan became friends for life with the changing table in the Ladies restroom at Logan's Steakhouse and when Alyssa discover Newton's third law of gravity - for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. But in the end they survived to tell their stories and hopefully learned a lesson in the process.
Until next time - Dadda says keep monkey'in around!

Spring Break!!

So mommy and daddy are on spring break and you know what that means...no sleeping in for them!! Since we were all on spring break mommy and daddy took us to the San Antonio Zoo and to Sea World. It was A LOT of fun and mommy and daddy said the weather was perfect.

First we went to the zoo. We saw all the animals. We even saw the hippos swimming in the new Africa Live exhibit. Then it was off the the elephants. That is when Alyssa took a nasty little spill. That will teach her to stand in the stroller...while it is moving! She was ok...no blood. On to the other animals!

We made a stop at the Tiny Tot Spot. Alyssa had fun running around while Ryan took some time to roll around on the water bed. Of course we ended our day with a train ride around Brackenridge Park. Alyssa usually gets a big thrill from the ride but this was Ryan's first time and he LOVED it!

Sea World was a big sister day. It was a little cool so Ryan stayed home...that train ride really wore him out! Sea World was a blast. I got to feed the dolphins with daddy! I even threw the fish to them myself. I saw Shamu of course and the Seseam Street gang was there and they had a beach party!

I am tall enough to get on some rides now so I rode the Shamu Express Rollercoaster and some other rides...all by myself! It was a super fun day but I did miss Monkey...I wonder what we will do the rest of the week?!

And So It Begins...

Well here it is...mommy and daddy's attempt to keep everyone updated with all our crazy adventures. We have so many people in our lives who love and care for us. But because mommy and daddy are always working and get so busy everyone doesn't get to hear about it all. So stop by every now and then and see what kind of "Monkey Business" we get into! Lets just hope mommy and daddy can keep up with us!!
